How I Edit My Blog Photos

Photography is such a huge part of blogging. I personally will refuse to upload a post (and it's actually why this one is slightly late) unless the photography looks flawless in my eyes. I will spend hours taking photo after photo, just to get the right one. But most of the time I find that even if I get the perfect photo, it just needs that little boost to get it right.

This is where editing comes in. A lot of people might believe you have to be amazing at Photoshop in order to edit photos, it tends to be the first thing that comes to peoples minds when they hear "edit photos". The reality is that anyone can do it, you needn't even have ever touched Photoshop in your life and you can get amazing photos, and even better you can do it entirely on your phone. I personally use an iPhone 7+, and I chose this phone specifically for the Portrait Mode and I have found it highly beneficial in terms of blog photos, however it is by no means essential. You can use any photo-taking device and still achieve great photos. I will be explaining how I edit on my iPhone 7+, but if you find alternatives for different phones then be sure to let us know below!

My Blogging Goals

I think everyone should have goals in life, something to drive you to do better and give you motivation. Every time I come to this blog I try and set goals, and with only one month left of the year and a whole new one coming up I thought why not try and set myself some goals for this blog. It's something I am really trying to build and be proud of, and so here I am going to tell you some of the goals for Life of Eleanor that I hope to achieve by the end of 2018.

Lee Stafford Coco Loco Range - Blow and Go and Hair Oil

I have been looking at trying some of Lee Stafford's Coco Loco range for a long time now, and by long I literally mean years. I have always been a Tresemme girl, I worship their keratin smooth range as it does wonders for my curly, frizzy hair. However I've been wanting to try something new so I picked up a couple of bits and gave them a whirl.

The first think I picked up was the Blow and Go lotion. Whilst my hair has it's own volume, I thought I would see how this might help the condition of my hair, especially with the amount of heat it has to endure. To apply this, you simply run it through wet hair and blow dry, it's as simple as that! I found it really did make my hair feel silkier and smoother in it's natural curly state, usually I have to straighten it to make it feel any kind of smooth! Plus, the coconut smell is amazing, and partly the reason I wanted to try this so much! Overall I will definitely be using this product again, the amount of volume it added to my hair was just right for me, as too much would have been just crazy!

Breaking the New Blogger Barrier

blogging blogger new blogger post confidence internet upload

My blog was originally created a good 2 or 3 years ago, and it was originally called Elxza (some weird play on my name, god knows how it came about). Whilst I always loved actually blogging, I was finding it really difficult to get into a routine and be consistent with it, I was treating it more like just something I'd update every now and again. I just did it as and when I felt like it. I also had a huge problem trying to figure out exactly what it was I wanted my blog to be about, and to this day I'm still not sure I've figured it out.

My Pandora Story

I think the one thing that makes Pandora bracelets so special is that everyone's bracelet is completely unique to them. If you ask someone who's wearing one, I'm sure they'd be able to tell you about each and every charm and why it's on their bracelet. I find a Pandora charm is the perfect gift to give to someone for any occasion, and they will cherish it and remember when they got it, and this can be something hard to achieve through gifts.

The Perfect Rainy Autumn Day

Rain is one of my favourite types of weather, well when I'm not standing in it at least! My idea of a perfect lazy day is snuggled under a duvet on the sofa, binge watching a good tv show with some snacks, my laptop and my cats.

Autumn Favourites

I love Autumn, I think it is the best time of year. The days start to get shorter which means cosy evenings in, snuggled under a blanket watching films on the sofa. The air starts to get a chill and the leaves turn into an array of beautiful gold and red hues. I love the cold, it means I can crack out the jumpers and winter coats and you can't beat autumnal fashion.
